Park Yong-jin "If Yoon is impeached, will the Democratic Party take the next government? ... Must reflect"

Former Democratic Party lawmaker Park Yong-jin emphasized the need for the party's reflection, saying, "If Yoon Seok-yeol is impeached, will the next government definitely be the Democratic Party? If we only overcome the Lee Jae-myung one-man system, is victory in the presidential election a foregone conclusion?"

On the 30th, Park posted this message on his social media (SNS) Facebook. He evaluated the party as "excessive political correctness (PC), ingrained elitism, and arrogance felt despite not showing competence," and questioned, "Even if these aspects do not change, if Yoon Seok-yeol is impeached, will the next administration definitely belong to the Democratic Party?"

He pointed out examples of the Democratic Party's hypocrisy, such as "claiming human rights while remaining silent on North Korean human rights" and "enthusiastic about Myanmar's democratization but silent on Hong Kong's democratization," highlighting a double standard.

He also said, "While lamenting the deepening social inequality, the image of Democratic Party politicians getting rich through real estate overlaps with the suffering of ordinary citizens due to soaring apartment prices," and asked, "If we leave the Democratic Party's moral double standards as they are and only overcome the Lee Jae-myung one-man system, will the younger generation support us?"

He continued, "While talking about innovation, the party created the Tada ban law, and while discussing the fostering of national strategic industries, the support policies are passive," adding, "While talking about youth, they have neglected future strategies such as pension reform, labor reform, and education reform."

He stressed, "There are too many outdated things in the Democratic Party right now, and many things need to change, but we are too easily optimistic about victory," and questioned, "Are we closing our eyes to the accumulated problems by blaming only Lee Jae-myung?"

Finally, Park said, "We must keep questioning and reflecting," and added, "Only then can we find answers and discover other ways."
