'Squid Game 2', Leading Netflix Non-English TV Show for 5 Consecutive Weeks

'Squid Game' Season 2 maintained its lead in the non-English TV show category on Netflix even in its fifth week after release. According to Netflix's official site 'Netflix Top 10' on the 29th, it recorded 7.9 million views in the fourth week of this month (20th?26th), easily surpassing 'Sakamoto Days' Season 1 (5.7 million views) and 'Severe Trauma Center' (4.7 million views).

The view count is calculated by dividing the total watch time by the full running time. This method was introduced to more accurately gauge the popularity of relatively short movies and mini-series on Netflix.


'Squid Game' Season 2 ranked 5th in the overall Netflix content aggregation. The top spot was taken by the movie 'Back in Action' (46.8 million views). Following were the drama 'Night Agent' Season 2 (13.9 million views), the drama 'XO, Kitty' Season 2 (9.2 million views), and the movie 'Add Vitam' (8.4 million views).


In the top 10 of the non-English TV category, several Korean works besides 'Squid Game' Season 2 also appeared. These include 'Severe Trauma Center' (3rd place), 'Solo Hell 4' (3.1 million views, 5th place), and 'Squid Game' Season 1 (3.1 million views, 6th place).
