Bae Ingyu Expresses Frustration
"Why Am I Being Criticized by My Own Camp?"
"No Matter What I Do, They Curse and Attack"
The conservative group Shin Namseong Solidarity, which has been leading rallies supporting President Yoon Suk-yeol, has declared that it will no longer participate in related activities going forward.
On the 27th, Bae In-gyu, the representative of Shin Namseong Solidarity, stated through a live broadcast on his YouTube channel, "We will no longer hold rallies or engage in activities." He expressed, "We held a large-scale rally last Saturday, but we cannot continue anymore," and lamented, "I don't understand why members of the same camp criticize me, saying 'You didn’t dance in Gwanghwamun or hold rallies in front of the Prosecutor's Office, so the president was indicted.'" He added, "Because of comments like 'The president was indicted because of you' and 'We are facing this worst outcome because of you,' I have decided not to hold rallies anymore."

Representative Bae explained, "To shed the 'teuldak (a derogatory term for elderly people)' frame, we only put pretty and handsome friends in their 20s and 30s on the stage. We prepared for a very long time," adding, "Due to the nature of the performance industry, it was difficult to stand at right-wing rallies, so we even paid dance teams double to secure them." Regarding rumors surrounding him, such as "He is of Chinese descent" or "He receives money from China," he drew a clear line, saying, "If you want to spread such claims to become famous, go ahead. I will not do it."
He also expressed frustration, saying, "If you look at the gallery of the People Power Party’s emergency committee, no matter what I do, they curse and bite me. They criticize it as an oratory contest or a concert, but I have always advocated for peaceful protests," and added, "Yet, I am being accused of leading violent protests." Finally, he stated, "This does not mean I am withdrawing my support for President Yoon," and mentioned that he plans to undergo the vocal cord surgery he had postponed until now.
Earlier, on the 19th, Representative Bae urged that "all videos showing citizens’ faces from the violent incident at the Seoul Western District Court must be taken down." He appealed this way out of concern that the footage might be used as evidence by the police. Furthermore, he claimed, "The police response to the protests in the western region was excessively violent and unethical, which extremely provoked the emotions of the protesters," and added, "It seemed like a planned act of complicity to induce riots with the aim of imposing severe punishment afterward."
