All Nationwide Heavy Snow Warnings Lifted... Crisis Alert Level Downgraded from 'Warning' to 'Attention'

The Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced on the 29th at 12 noon that all heavy snow warnings nationwide have been lifted, and the crisis alert level has been downgraded from 'Warning' to 'Attention.'

Along with this, the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters (CDSCH) emergency duty was also lifted. The heavy snow warnings that had been maintained in some parts of Chungcheong and Honam regions until the morning were all lifted at noon.

Earlier, on the 27th, as heavy snow warnings were issued across the country, the CDSCH activated Level 2 operations and raised the heavy snow crisis alert level to 'Warning.'

Due to this heavy snow, as of 11 a.m. on the day, 9 flights and 40 passenger ships were canceled, and 26 roads were closed. Additionally, centered around the Chungcheong and Jeonbuk regions, 13 livestock barn collapses and 1 vinyl greenhouse collapse occurred, including pig, cattle, and goat barns.

Since the 27th, the fire authorities have conducted a total of 277 heavy snow-related firefighting activities, including 101 rescues and 166 safety measures. They reported that no casualties have been recorded so far.
