On the 28th, Oh Seonghwan, Mayor of Dangjin, Chungnam, visited a dairy farm in Jeongmi-myeon that suffered heavy snow damage to inspect the situation and offer words of comfort to the farmers.

Earlier, the city received a report from the farm at 5:42 a.m. that day stating, "The roof of the barn has collapsed."

According to the city, after visiting the farm and confirming the damage, it was found that 496 square meters of the barn roof had collapsed, resulting in approximately 78.3 million won in damages. It was reported that all 94 dairy cows being raised were unharmed.

Mayor Oh Seonghwan said, "The city is closely monitoring the situation to ensure there are no additional damages caused by the heavy snow," and added, "If there are any situations where damage is feared due to the snow, we plan to immediately mobilize administrative resources even during the Lunar New Year holiday period."

Meanwhile, on the evening of the 27th, the city organized an emergency response team in accordance with the heavy snow warning at 8 p.m. and is monitoring various disaster situations in real time, including traffic accidents, facility damages, and pedestrian slip accidents.

Mayor Oh also visited the Disaster and Safety Situation Room on the 27th to check on the snow damage and is making every effort, urging a swift response in case of any incidents.
