On the 28th, according to the Korea Institute of Public Finance, researchers Jihyun Ko and Changsoo Ko released a 'Tax and Fiscal Brief: An Analysis of the Impact of Tax and Fiscal Policies on Women's Labor Supply After Childbirth' at the end of last month containing this information.
According to the report, using regional employment survey data to analyze the impact of expanding childcare center supply from 2010 to 2019, a statistically significant effect promoting employment among women aged 25 to 39 was observed. This increase effect was not seen in women aged 45 and over or in male groups. This suggests that the effect is not simply due to economic, fiscal, or social condition changes in the region related to childcare facility supply.
Researchers Jihyun Ko and Changsoo Ko stated, "Continuously expanding quality childcare facilities may contribute to encouraging female employment, resulting income growth, and accumulation of human capital."
