Democratic Party lawmaker Moon Geumju (representing Goheung, Boseong, Jangheung, and Gangjin in South Jeolla Province) went on a tour to greet residents and listen to public sentiment ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday, accompanied by provincial and county council members and party members.
On the 24th, Moon visited the 5-day markets in Goheung-eup and Beolgyo-eup to greet local residents and engage in conversations while shopping for the holiday.
He also visited organizations such as the Goheung County Senior Citizens' Association, the Beekeepers' Association, and the Boseong Senior Club to discuss regional issues and promote solidarity and cooperation within the community. During his visits to the Senior Welfare Center and senior centers in Deungam-ri and Doyang-eup, Moon conveyed his wishes for the welfare and health of the local elderly, sharing the warmth of the holiday.
Additionally, he visited the Boseong Fire Station to express gratitude and encouragement to firefighters devoted to maintaining public safety in the region.
From the 25th to the 27th, Moon continued to meet residents in Gangjin and Jangheung counties, offering New Year's greetings and listening to their concerns.
Moon stated, "It was very meaningful to personally visit and communicate with local residents and seniors for the Lunar New Year and to hear voices from the field. Although the current situation is difficult, I will do my best to restore the economy and normalize the political situation as soon as possible, so that we can build a new Korea where farmers and fishermen thrive and the people are the true owners of the country."
