Jeollanam-do is expanding its 'Eco-friendly Agricultural Products Package Project,' and for the first time in the nation, is extending the benefits previously provided only to pregnant women and couples with infertility issues to households with infants and young children this year.
The Eco-friendly Agricultural Products Package Project for infants and young children targets families raising children at home (home care) who do not use daycare centers, kindergartens, or full-day childcare services. With a project budget of 720 million KRW, this new initiative by Jeollanam-do, the first of its kind nationwide, will provide eco-friendly agricultural products packages worth 480,000 KRW per person annually (including a self-payment of 96,000 KRW) to 1,500 recipients.
The Eco-friendly Agricultural Products Package Project for pregnant women will provide eco-friendly agricultural products packages worth 480,000 KRW per person annually (including a self-payment of 96,000 KRW) to 2,800 women who have given birth after January 1, 2024, and pregnant women as of the application date, with a project budget of 1.34 billion KRW.
The Eco-friendly Agricultural Products Package Project for couples with infertility issues will provide eco-friendly agricultural products packages worth 480,000 KRW per person annually (including a self-payment of 96,000 KRW) to 500 couples, with a project budget of 240 million KRW.
The application period for the Eco-friendly Agricultural Products Package Project is the same for all groups, from February 3 to March 28.
Pregnant women wishing to apply for the Eco-friendly Agricultural Products Package Project can submit supporting documents such as a birth certificate or pregnancy confirmation certificate and apply through the qualification verification system for pregnant women or visit their local town or township office to apply in person.
In addition, couples with infertility issues can apply individually by visiting, faxing, or emailing their local city or county public health center when applying for procedure costs. For the infants and young children package project, families can apply at their local town or township office with supporting documents such as a family relationship certificate or a copy of the resident registration.
Once selected as a project beneficiary, recipients can order eco-friendly certified fresh produce, livestock products, and processed foods from a dedicated section for beneficiaries on the Namdo Marketplace, Jeollanam-do’s online shopping mall, up to four times per month (16 times per year), with a minimum order of 30,000 KRW per purchase, and have them delivered to their homes.
