On the 25th, looking at the 'Neighbor Part-time Jobs' posts on the local community platform 'Danggeun,' there are continuous requests for 'people to help prepare for Seollal (Lunar New Year).' The hourly wages vary from 10,000 to 30,000 KRW. Neighbors are asking for help with various household chores the day before Seollal, making holiday foods, and so on. Additionally, those who need to leave their homes for hometown visits or travel are also seeking neighbors to take care of their pets through Danggeun.
On this day, Danggeun Part-time Jobs announced the results of a survey conducted from the 17th to the 22nd asking, 'What kind of help would you like to receive from neighbors during Seollal?' Among 2,035 respondents, 32% answered that they needed someone to help with thorough house cleaning. Next, 24% chose 'someone to help with holiday food preparation.' These responses were most prevalent among women in their 40s and 50s. Furthermore, 10% of respondents said, 'I need someone to take care of my pet,' ranking third after excluding 'Others' (19%). Other responses included 'I need someone to care for elderly or children' (5%), 'preparing the ancestral rites table and purchasing ritual items' (5%), and 'moving heavy luggage' (4%).

In preparation for the long holiday, short-term part-time job postings for the Seollal holiday period have also increased. On the 22nd, among short-term part-time job postings on Danggeun Neighbor Part-time Jobs from the past week, 27% were for hiring during the Seollal holiday period. Danggeun analyzed that many of these postings are for additional staff to handle the influx of customers during the holiday or to find replacements for existing staff who are absent. Additionally, some unique holiday job postings caught attention. These included packaging fruit gift sets, selling gift sets in department stores, as well as distinctive postings from companies making traditional holiday foods such as 'Jeon frying part-time job' and 'Hangwa making part-time job,' which are foods placed on the Seollal ancestral rites table.
Meanwhile, part-time workers also prefer to earn even a little more rather than resting during the holiday. New job seekers looking for short-term part-time jobs were also identified. Among individual members of Alba Heaven (AlbaCheonguk) aged from teenagers to over 50s who are currently not working part-time, 270 said they plan to work part-time during the Seollal holiday. Furthermore, when Alba Heaven, a specialized part-time job portal, recently asked 585 part-time workers about their 'Seollal holiday work plans,' 66.5% answered that they would work during the holiday. Among part-time workers in the distribution and sales sectors, 78.4% said they would not take a break during Seollal, the highest rate recorded. In addition, most part-time workers in the food service and beverage (74.9%), service (74.4%), and driving/delivery (72.2%) sectors were also found to continue working during the holiday.
