On the 23rd (local time), Ivanka posted on the social networking service X (formerly Twitter), saying, "I have learned that fake cryptocurrencies called 'Ivanka Trump' or '$IVANKA' are being promoted without my consent or approval," and added, "Let me be clear, I have no connection to these coins." She continued, "These fake coins pose a risk of deceiving consumers and swindling their hard-earned money," emphasizing, "This is unacceptable." She also stated, "My legal team is currently reviewing the matter," and added, "We will take measures to prevent the continued misuse of my name."

U.S. economic media outlets such as CNBC reported that the emergence of fake coins bearing Ivanka's name occurred after President Trump and First Lady Melania each issued their own meme coins recently. Meme coins refer to speculative cryptocurrencies created based on parodies or jokes without intrinsic value.

Donald Trump, who pledged to become a 'pro-cryptocurrency president,' launched his own meme coin on the 17th, before his inauguration. On that day, he announced on Truth Social and X (formerly Twitter), "It's time to celebrate all the 'wins' we support," and urged, "Join the very special Trump community and acquire '$TRUMP'." The homepage of the coin displayed the phrase "The only official Trump meme." The coin once rose to $73 but was trading in the $33 range as of 7 p.m. on the 23rd. Earlier, U.S. media Fox Business reported that the Trump meme coin's price rose from just a few cents at launch to $33.87, marking an increase of 18,000%.

Following President Trump, First Lady Melania also released her own meme coin on the 19th. Melania's meme coin rose to $13 but has since fallen to the $2 range.

Meanwhile, Ivanka, born as the second child and eldest daughter of President Trump and his first wife Ivana Trump, held key positions in the White House alongside her husband Jared Kushner during President Trump's first term. However, she did not hold any special role in the second administration, and in a podcast interview released on the 14th, she expressed the opinion that "politics is a very dark and negative business," which attracted attention.
