IBK Industrial Bank of Korea stated that President Kim made these remarks at a nationwide branch managers' meeting held on the 24th at the IBK Chungju Training Center in Chungju, Chungbuk. The meeting shared this year's management strategy directions and implementation tasks. About 900 employees, including President Kim, subsidiary presidents, and domestic and overseas branch managers, attended. The meeting was held shortly after the regular personnel reshuffle and organizational restructuring.
President Kim encouraged employees by noting that despite domestic and international uncertainties last year, the bank achieved the highest-ever market share in SME loans. He expressed gratitude for leading support to overcome crises for small business owners and SMEs.
Presenting this year's management slogan, he proposed five strategic directions for providing differentiated customer value: customer-centric management, building a solid profit base, securing future growth engines, strengthening organizational pride, and sustainable finance.
President Kim stated, "In uncertain times, we must strengthen our fundamental competitiveness, which comes from differentiated customer value."
He requested special attention and effort in establishing a differentiated SME support system, including completing support systems tailored to the corporate life cycle and SME digitalization.
He ordered the faithful execution of the market safety net role and, to realize this, strengthening on-site work capabilities and spreading an organizational culture that challenges innovation.
Additionally, he emphasized the complete establishment of an effective internal control system and improving awareness among all employees.
At the meeting, various programs were also conducted, including a special lecture by a notable figure on the theme "Advice for a Happy Life and Proper Communication" and surprise family visits to encourage high-performing branch managers.
