Delivered to Eight Welfare Facilities and More
The West Sea Regional Coast Guard (Commissioner Lee Myeongjun) delivered hope through a warm sharing activity to spread goodwill in the local community ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday.
According to the West Sea Coast Guard on the 24th, they visited Myungdo Welfare Center and Gongsaeng Rehabilitation Center in Mokpo, Jeollanam-do the previous day to encourage and comfort facility staff. During the visit, West Sea Coast Guard employees delivered 1 million KRW each to the facilities, funds that were voluntarily collected by the staff, adding warmth to the holiday season.

Facility representatives expressed their gratitude for the warm attention, saying, "Not only the support provided, but also the heartfelt encouragement and support give us great strength."
In addition, the West Sea Coast Guard shared the joy of the holiday by delivering 500,000 KRW each to six underprivileged families selected through recommendations from Mokpo City, Muan County, and Shinan County. This act of sharing began with the intention to offer a small hope and courage to neighbors facing the holiday season amid economic difficulties.
Commissioner Lee Myeongjun said, "Believing that our small act of sharing can bring great hope to someone, all our staff participated with one heart," and added, "We will continue to be a warm-hearted Coast Guard working together with the local community."
The West Sea Coast Guard plans to continue extending a helping hand in cooperation with the local community for the safety and happiness of the public.
