This inspection aims to precisely diagnose physical and functional defects and performance of the bridges to prevent disasters in advance and enhance safety.
Based on the inspection results, safety ratings will be reassessed, and repairs and reinforcements will be carried out if necessary. The city plans to establish short- and long-term plans based on this and sequentially promote maintenance and repair projects.
Hwang Gyu-won, head of the Construction Department, stated, “We will register the inspection results in the Facility Management System (FMS) for regular management, and since large-scale facilities can cause significant damage in case of accidents, we will do our best to ensure citizens' safety through continuous inspections and repairs.”
