Korean Winter, Going to Meet You While Riding Snow Sleds!

Ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday, international students enrolled at Gyeongnam Information University enjoyed a joyful time experiencing snow sledding.

On the 24th, Gyeongnam Information University invited about 200 international students from countries including Vietnam and Mongolia to Eden Valley Resort in Yangsan to enjoy snow sledding as part of a Korean cultural experience event.

Most of these students are unable to visit their hometowns during the Lunar New Year and have to spend the holiday in dormitories, but thanks to the university’s consideration, they were able to fully enjoy the Korean winter.

The students had the opportunity to directly experience Korean culture and deepen their understanding of Korea through this unique experience, which is difficult to encounter in their home countries.

Kim Hong-gil, Director of International Exchange, said, “We provide various support to help international students at Gyeongnam Information University not only with Korean language education and academics but also to adapt well to Korean culture and settle down stably. We plan to regularly conduct cultural experience programs that have received great responses from international students.”
