The event was attended by more than 40 people, including Mayor Kang Su-hyun, City Council Chairman Yoon Chang-chul, city and provincial council members, local social organizations, and related officials, who celebrated the opening of the "Dronebot Talent Education Center," which will serve as a catalyst for fostering the drone and robot industries in the area.

The "Yangju Dronebot Talent Education Center" was established in the Yangju Technocity Knowledge Industry Center and consists of an education center occupying two rooms with a total area of 239.2㎡ and an indoor drone flight zone with a courtyard space of 760㎡.

The second-floor education center will include office space, a drone piloting experience zone, a robot experience zone, and a theoretical education room, while the first-floor indoor drone flight zone utilizes the five-story high courtyard as a flight space.

The center plans to house the Drone Policy Team from the Department of Self-Sufficient City Development of Yangju City, and will host drone experience events for citizens, provide staff training to promote drone use in administrative fields, and offer shared office rentals to expand the basic foundation of drone technology.

Mayor Kang Su-hyun of Yangju said, "The opening of this education center will strengthen the anchor role in fostering the western region's dronebot industry and serve as a cornerstone for securing future growth engines such as industrial clustering. Since drones and robots are core fields of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, Yangju City will do its best to develop the western region of Yangju as a hub for future industries by integrating the dronebot industry, festivals, and education."

Meanwhile, the city is striving to become a metropolitan city with a population of 500,000 by focusing on attracting and fostering future industries within the city, especially promoting balanced development between the eastern and western regions by attracting industries and jobs to the western region, where population decline is occurring.

Furthermore, since drones and robots are key sectors of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the city plans to expand the basic foundation and develop the western region of Yangju as a center for future industries through the opening of the "Dronebot Talent Education Center."
