Damyang County in Jeollanam-do (Governor Lee Byungno) visited local social welfare facilities on the 23rd to celebrate Seol, the unique traditional holiday of the Korean people, conveying warm wishes and expressing appreciation to the facility staff.


This visit was organized to foster a warm holiday atmosphere by encouraging care for the underprivileged and practicing neighborly love during the major national holiday of Seol.


Deputy Governor Jeong Gwangseon said on the 24th, "I hope that the gifts prepared with warm hearts ahead of the holiday will be of some help to the staff and residents of the social welfare facilities," adding, "We will continue to do our best for the happiness of all county residents."


Meanwhile, Damyang County is conducting the 'Sharing Warmth' campaign in conjunction with the Seol Volunteer Week to promote a spirit of service and sharing for the holiday. The county has delivered various gifts to 22 social welfare facilities, low-income households, families of national merit, and 1,600 households in welfare blind spots to ensure that all residents can enjoy a warm holiday.
