Combined heat and power generation uses natural gas as fuel to reduce greenhouse gas and fine dust emissions compared to coal, and it is an eco-friendly energy technology that utilizes waste heat generated during power generation to produce steam for factory operations. It is regarded as a key technology in energy transition.

DL E&C has built trust through past collaborations with S-Oil and has successfully executed large-scale projects such as the 'Shahin Project,' which establishes the largest petrochemical facility in Korea, and the Residual Oil Upgrading Complex (RUC) in 2018. This expertise and track record appear to have contributed to winning this contract.

Yoo Jae-ho, Head of DL E&C's Plant Business Division, stated, “The trust and technological capabilities with S-Oil are the foundation of this achievement,” adding, “We will continue to actively pursue orders in eco-friendly power generation projects.”
