Last year, CJ ENM brought great laughter with 'The Queen of Tears' and 'Seonjae Upgo Twieo,' and this year, the company has unveiled the lineup of dramas for the cable channel tvN.
'That Guy is the Black Dragon,' premiering on March 17, is based on a popular Naver Webtoon and depicts the romance between team leader Baek Sujeong, who suffers from a painful past, and third-generation chaebol director Ban Juyeon, who harbors the Black Dragon in his heart. The cast includes Moon Gayoung, Choi Hyunwook, Lim Semi, and Kwak Siyang.
On March 1, 'Potato Research Institute' tells the romance between Mikyung (played by Lee Sunbin), who has a passion for potatoes, and Baekho (played by Kang Taeoh), a principled person. Set in a potato research institute, this drama is planned by CJ ENM STUDIOS and produced by Chorokbaem Media.
Also scheduled to air in the same month, 'Divorce Insurance' is an office romantic comedy starring Lee Dongwook, Lee Joobin, Lee Kwangsoo, and Lee Dahui, depicting the story of developing insurance products related to divorce.
In April, 'Someday, the Wise Resident Life' will be broadcast. This is a spin-off drama of 'Hospital Playlist,' portraying work and friendship in a hospital. The cast includes Go Yoonjung, Cynthia, Han Yeji, and Kang Yooseok.
In May, 'Please Abstain from Drinking' will air. Starring Choi Sooyoung and Gong Myung, this drama tells the story of reuniting with a first love who hates alcohol.
In June, the youth romance 'Gyeonwoo and Seonnyeo,' about a high school shaman saving her first love, will be broadcast. The leads are Jo Yihyun and Chu Youngwoo.
In the second half of the year, the legal drama 'Seocho-dong,' starring Lee Jongseok, Moon Gayoung, Kang Yooseok, Ryu Hyeyoung, and Lim Seongjae, will be aired.
'The Tyrant's Chef' is a fantasy romance drama about a French chef who travels back 500 years to meet a king, starring Im Yoonah and Lee Chaemin. Additionally, various dramas such as 'First, For Love,' 'Typhoon Company,' 'New President Project,' 'Pro Bono,' and 'Spring Fever' are scheduled.
CJ ENM has presented 'True Happiness,' 'Cheerful Humanism,' and 'Proxy Excitement' as the core keywords for this year's dramas and plans to showcase dramas with diverse genres and themes.
