Oh Seungrok, Mayor of Nowon District, Signs Consignment Agreement with Hong Shinae Culinary Research Institute for Operation of 'Surakhyu' Restaurant and Cafe on the 23rd
On the afternoon of the 23rd, Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District, signed a consignment agreement in the mayor's office for the operation of the restaurant and cafe at 'Surakhyu.'
The signing ceremony was attended by Mayor Oh Seung-rok, Hong Shin-ae, CEO of Hong Shin-ae Culinary Research Institute, and other officials. The event proceeded with the signing of the agreement, commemorative photo session, and a meeting.
According to this agreement, Hong Shin-ae Culinary Research Institute will be responsible for the overall operation of food and beverage and convenience facilities at 'Surakhyu' for three years from February 15, 2025, to February 14, 2028, including ▲restaurant and cafe operation ▲operation of vending machines and Bulmeong Zone snack corner.
'Surakhyu' is Seoul's first urban natural recreation forest, currently being developed with the goal of opening in May 2025. It will feature various auxiliary facilities such as barrier-free forest trails and a children's forest experience center, as well as hotel-grade restaurants and convenience facilities.
In particular, it will be developed with 18 buildings and 25 rooms, including treehouse-style 'Forest Houses,' providing accommodation for up to 105 people, expected to become a healing space where visitors can enjoy nature within the city.
Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District, said, “We are thoroughly preparing to provide residents with a comfortable resting space as Seoul’s first urban natural recreation forest, Surakhyu. Especially, based on cooperation with Hong Shin-ae Culinary Research Institute, we will offer food and beverage services with taste and quality to deliver the highest satisfaction to visitors.”
