Launch of Mapo-gu Win-Win Committee... District Mayor Park Gang-su Awarded Committee Member Certificate

Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, attended the appointment ceremony for the members of the Coexistence Committee at 4 p.m. on the 23rd in the main auditorium on the 2nd floor of the Mapo District Office.

The Dong Coexistence Committee in Mapo District is an organization established to resolve various civil complaints and conflicts occurring in Mapo District through consultation with residents and to formulate policies based on consensus. Since its implementation in October 2022, it has held a total of 140 meetings to address both major and minor local issues.

The Dong Coexistence Committee consists of up to 15 members, including the heads of each dong (neighborhood), leaders of functional organizations, experts such as architects, and local residents. At this appointment ceremony, a total of 137 members from 16 dongs were appointed.

At the event, Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, said, “I am grateful to the appointed members of the Coexistence Committee for taking the lead in solving the difficult issues in our neighborhoods and communities,” and added, “Mapo District will continue to actively cooperate with the Coexistence Committee members to maintain Mapo’s reputation as the happiest district.”
