About 260 Members from 20 Social Organizations in Jang-an-eup and Jeong-gwan-eup Join Cleanup Effort
Busan Gijang-gun (Governor Jeong Jong-bok) conducted a joint public-private environmental cleanup activity around the Jagwangcheon area on the 21st and 22nd in celebration of the Lunar New Year holiday.
Residents of Jangan-eup are participating in a public-private joint maintenance activity at Jwagwangcheon and taking a commemorative photo.
This activity was promoted to provide a pleasant and warm holiday atmosphere to visitors returning to their hometowns by cleaning up the environment before the holiday.
About 260 members from 20 social organizations, including the Jang-an-eup and Jeong-gwan-eup Residents' Autonomy Committees and the Village Leaders' Association, along with about 30 employees from the Gijang-gun Office, participated, working hard to create a clean environment by picking up trash and cleaning unsanitary areas along the 7 km stretch of Jagwangcheon from Jang-an-eup to Jeong-gwan-eup.
Jeong Jong-bok, Governor of Gijang-gun, said, "I thank all the residents who participated in the environmental cleanup to make Jagwangcheon clean for the Lunar New Year despite the cold weather," and added, "I hope both residents and visitors have a comfortable and joyful Lunar New Year holiday."
