Gwangju and Jeonnam to See Hazy Skies Tomorrow... Fine Dust Levels 'Bad'

On the 24th, Gwangju and Jeonnam will experience mostly cloudy weather, with high concentrations of ultrafine dust in most areas until the morning.

From today until the day after tomorrow, Gwangju and Jeonnam will be affected by a high-pressure system moving eastward from northeastern China.

The morning's lowest temperatures are expected to be -4 degrees Celsius in Yeongam and Gokseong; -3 degrees in Yeonggwang, Jangseong, Damyang, Hampyeong, Naju, Hwasun, Boseong, and Haenam; -2 degrees in Muan, Jangheung, and Gurye; -1 degree in Gwangju, Gangjin, and Goheung; 0 degrees in Mokpo; and 1 degree in Sinan, Jindo, Wando, and Gwangyang.

The day's highest temperatures will be similar to the previous day, with 13 degrees Celsius in Gwangju, Jangheung, Yeongam, Haenam, Gangjin, Hwasun, Gurye, Suncheon, and Gwangyang; 12 degrees in Jangseong, Damyang, Gokseong, Naju, Boseong, Goheung, and Wando; 11 degrees in Hampyeong, Muan, and Yeosu; 10 degrees in Yeonggwang, Sinan, and Jindo; and 9 degrees in Mokpo.

Waves on the sea will range from 0.5 to 1 meter in the coastal waters of the West and South Seas. Fine dust levels will be 'moderate', while ultrafine dust will remain at 'bad' levels until the morning.

An official from the Gwangju Regional Meteorological Administration stated, "On roads adjacent to rivers, lakes, or valleys, fog may be denser than in surrounding areas. Please drive at reduced speeds to prevent accidents and pay close attention to traffic safety."
