Baek Young-hyun, Pocheon Mayor, Holds Meeting with Apartment Residents' Representatives in Soheul-eup

Baek Young-hyun, Mayor of Pocheon City, held a meeting with representatives of apartment residents in Soheul-eup on the 22nd at the Soheul-eup Administrative Welfare Center to welcome the New Year of 2025, the Year of Eulsa.

The meeting was attended by Baek Young-hyun, Mayor of Pocheon City, Yoo Jae-hyun, Head of Soheul-eup, Yoon Soong-jae, Public Relations Officer, Woo Seung-hwan, Head of the Housing Division, along with related officials and about 20 representatives of apartment residents in Soheul-eup.

The meeting began with a greeting from Mayor Baek Young-hyun, followed by Yoo Jae-hyun, Head of Soheul-eup, presenting the major achievements of 2024, plans for key projects in 2025, and promotion of Pocheon City's priority projects. Then, the session proceeded with listening to and responding to suggestions from the apartment resident representatives of Soheul-eup.

Major suggestions included the creation of children's playgrounds within complexes, installation of outdoor exercise equipment, and resolution of parking issues?matters closely related to residents' daily lives.

In response, Mayor Baek Young-hyun stated, “We plan to positively review amendments to ordinances to ensure that apartment residents are not excluded from local government support projects,” adding, “Apartment residents should equally receive benefits as citizens living in Pocheon City.” He also said, “We will communicate more with residents and work together to make Pocheon City a better place to live.”
