On this day, the Cheongpyeong 5-Day Market was held, and Mayor Seo inspected the supply status of holiday ritual items within the traditional market and listened to the difficulties faced by the merchants. In particular, after directly purchasing agricultural products and ritual items at the 5-Day Market to understand price trends, the purchased goods were delivered to vulnerable households in the area.

Mayor Seo also conducted the ‘Lunar New Year Price Stabilization Campaign’ on site and spent time communicating with residents visiting the market, sharing the hardships caused by rising prices. He encouraged residents to use the traditional market, saying, “I hope residents will participate in revitalizing the local economy by patronizing the traditional market.”

During the market visit, Mayor Seo also held a meeting with the Cheongpyeong Yeoul Market Merchants Association and discussed the revitalization of the local economy through the use of traditional markets. He also encouraged merchants of good-price stores who contribute to local price stabilization by offering affordable prices and quality services despite high inflation.

Mayor Seo said, “We will do our best to support merchants who are struggling due to sluggish consumption and rising prices,” and added, “I hope all residents actively use the traditional market and have a prosperous and warm Lunar New Year holiday.”
