Gyeonggi Hanam City (Mayor Lee Hyun-jae) announced on the 23rd that it will promote the ‘Hanam Women Intern Project’ to help job seekers or women with career interruptions adapt stably to the workplace and support companies in expanding employment.

This project aims to provide work experience opportunities to female job seekers in the area to enhance workplace adaptability and support employment retention after hiring.
Workers participating in the project can receive up to 600,000 KRW per person in support funds, and participating companies can receive up to 3,200,000 KRW.
In cooperation with local companies, the project supports internships, job settlement, and long-term employment retention. A total limit of 3,800,000 KRW per intern is set, with up to 600,000 KRW for workers and up to 3,200,000 KRW for companies.
Through this project, companies that hire female interns as full-time employees (40 hours or more per week) and pay a monthly salary of at least 2,096,270 KRW will receive an intern hiring support fund of 800,000 KRW per month for three months, totaling 2,400,000 KRW.
Additionally, if the intern is hired as a regular or full-time employee after the internship and maintains employment for more than six months, a retention incentive of 600,000 KRW will be given to the worker, and an employment retention incentive of 800,000 KRW will be provided to the company.
Eligible participants include any unemployed or career-holding women residing in Hanam City. Companies must have five or more regular employees, be registered for the four major social insurances, and be local companies. Hanam City plans to select companies through eligibility screening considering their soundness and stability.
