Gyeongbok University, Ranked 'Nationwide No.1' in Employment Rates for General and Vocational Colleges for 6 Consecutive Years

Gyeongbok University ranked first in employment rate among nationwide general and vocational colleges with over 2,000 graduates last year.


On the 23rd, Gyeongbok University announced that it achieved an employment rate of 80.6% in the Ministry of Education's "2024 University Information Disclosure," ranking first among nationwide general and vocational colleges with more than 2,000 graduates.


With this, Gyeongbok University has achieved the highest integrated employment rate among metropolitan area vocational and general colleges with over 2,000 graduates for six consecutive years since 2017.

Starting with an employment rate of 76.9% in 2017, Gyeongbok University has shown a steady upward trend every year, recording 80.2% in 2020 and achieving the highest employment rate of 80.6% in the past eight years in 2024. Notably, achieving first place in employment rate including both metropolitan and nationwide general and vocational colleges is regarded as proof of Gyeongbok University's educational innovation and student support efforts.


Gyeongbok University attributes its high employment rate to practical, hands-on education and a student-tailored support system. As of the 2022 academic year, Gyeongbok University provided 25.2 billion KRW in scholarships, offering an average of 4.22 million KRW per enrolled student. The scholarship benefit rate was 92%, creating an environment where most students could enjoy benefits.


Meanwhile, Gyeongbok University will conduct autonomous admissions for the 2025 academic year from this month 15th to next month 28th. The third recruitment for the AI-based complex virtual (XR) simulation content specialized technical course will be held from February 3rd to 18th.
