KOSCOM is partnering with Snowflake Korea, a cloud-based data platform company, to expand the use of financial data and activate generative artificial intelligence (AI) services.
On the 23rd, KOSCOM announced that it signed a "Joint Business Partnership for the Expansion of Financial Cloud-Based Data Platform and AI Service Usage" with Snowflake Korea. Through this partnership, they plan to provide cloud-based data analysis and generative AI services, supporting financial institutions in utilizing data without regulatory risks.
Specifically, the two companies will collaborate across the entire business spectrum, including ▲financial specialized service models and technologies ▲joint sales and marketing ▲business verification (PoC) and technical support for pilot construction of data platforms for financial companies.
Kim Seonghwan, Executive Director of KOSCOM’s Digital Business Division, said, "Through the partnership with Snowflake, a global leader in cloud data platforms, we can quickly and economically support financial companies in data utilization, AI application, and business innovation." He added, "Through this agreement, we will actively support domestic financial companies to develop various finance-linked businesses using data and AI."
Choi Kiyoung, CEO of Snowflake Korea, emphasized, "By combining KOSCOM’s financial IT capabilities, built through capital market IT infrastructure, with Snowflake’s data and AI cloud capabilities, we will actively cooperate to enable financial companies to respond agilely to business changes."
