Volunteer Service Providing Tteokguk to Seniors

Gwangju Community Chest of Korea (Chairman Park Cheolhong, hereafter referred to as Gwangju Sarangui Yeolmae) announced on the 22nd that Korea Gas Corporation Gwangju-Jeonnam Headquarters (Head Lee Hyojin) has donated 9 million KRW to support the "One Meal for 1,000 Won" initiative in Gwangsan-gu.
The donation ceremony was held on the 21st at the "One Meal for 1,000 Won Restaurant" located in Usan-dong, Gwangsan-gu, where employees of Korea Gas Corporation Gwangju-Jeonnam Headquarters also participated in a volunteer activity serving tteokguk to seniors.
Lee Hyojin, Head of Korea Gas Corporation Gwangju-Jeonnam Headquarters, stated, "In celebration of Lunar New Year, we participated together with our staff to deliver warm love to seniors who are living alone," and added, "We hope our sharing has been helpful to the seniors and that they have a joyful holiday."
Meanwhile, since 2003, the Gwangju-Jeonnam Headquarters of Korea Gas Corporation has contributed to the improvement of local welfare through Gwangju Sarangui Yeolmae in various ways, including providing living expenses for low-income families, supporting rehabilitation and job creation for people with disabilities, revitalizing traditional markets to boost the local economy, supporting the Green Companion Forest initiative, and supporting art troupes for the visually impaired.
