Pocheon-si Holds 'Idong-myeon Residents Visiting Empathy Communication Meeting'

The Administrative Welfare Center of Ildong-myeon, Pocheon-si, Gyeonggi Province, announced on the 22nd that it held the ‘2025 Ildong-myeon Residents’ Visiting Empathy Communication Meeting’ at the Ildong Culture and Arts Warehouse on the 21st.

The ‘Empathy and Communication Meeting with Residents’ is an event where the Mayor of Pocheon visits the eup, myeon, and dong areas in person to share city administration issues with citizens and listen to suggestions regarding various daily inconveniences and development plans for Pocheon.


The empathy communication meeting was attended by about 60 guests, including Pocheon Mayor Baek Young-hyun, National Assembly member Kim Yong-tae, Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly members Kim Seong-nam and Yoon Chung-sik, Pocheon City Council Chairman Lim Jong-hoon, other city council members, heads of institutions and organizations in Ildong-myeon, and village chiefs of each ri.


The meeting proceeded in the order of reporting the ‘2024 major achievements of Ildong-myeon and Pocheon City and the main plans for 2025,’ a report on Pocheon City’s key priority projects by the Head of the Residential Rights Creation Office, and listening to and responding to residents’ suggestions.


The heads of institutions and organizations, including village chiefs of each ri, presented a total of 16 suggestions, such as ▲the construction of a deck path along the Cheonggye Reservoir walking trail ▲installation of sculptures and planting of wildflowers in the Cheonggye Lake Waterfront Park ▲establishment of a new bus stop in front of the health clinic in Gilmyeong 2-ri on Local Road 368.


Mayor Baek Young-hyun of Pocheon said, “This meeting was a meaningful occasion to directly hear the voices of residents and share various opinions together. We will promptly prepare policies and projects to resolve residents’ inconveniences in the future.”
