Dong-A University and Dongseo University Hold Inauguration Ceremony for Integrated Industrial Complex Establishment Promotion Committee
Awards Presented to Outstanding Industry-University Cooperation Companies and Exhibition of Excellent Technologies and Prototypes

The event, held on the 17th at the Crystal Ballroom of Busan Lotte Hotel, was organized to strengthen the industry-university-research-government cooperation network by bringing together the LINC 3.0 Project Group, universities, companies, and the local community to promote industry-university cooperation for the local community and regional companies.
In particular, the event simultaneously held the ‘Inauguration Ceremony of the Integrated Industrial Complex Establishment Promotion Committee,’ one of the core tasks of the Dong-A University-Dongseo University Glocal University Project, and the LINC 3.0 Industry-University Cooperation Performance Exchange Meeting, which concludes this year.
The event was graced by the presence of Director Choi Jeong-ho and other officials from the Dong-A University LINC 3.0 Project Group, Kim Bong-su, President of the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology Commercialization, Kim Hyung-gyun, Director of Busan Technopark, Song Jeong-sook, Head of Busan City Industry-University Cooperation Division, Hwang Gi-hyun, Director of Dongseo University Industry-University Cooperation Foundation, Yoo Jin-hyeok, Head of Busan Research and Development Special Zone at the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology Commercialization, Kim Tae-yeol, Director of Busan Information Industry Promotion Agency, Park Hoon-ki, CEO of Busan Regional University Union Technology Holding, Yang Young-myeong, President of Donghwa Entech, Kang Tae-heung, Head of New Drug Development at Prestige BioPharma IDC, Choi Dae-gil, CEO of YouCanStar Co., Ltd., Park Seong-il, Vice President of Meracle, Moon Il-shin, Director of Hanul Accounting Corporation, Jeon Yong-cheol, Representative Patent Attorney of MyStar24 Patent Law Office, and other local government and family company officials.
In his opening remarks, Choi Jeong-ho, Director of Dong-A University LINC 3.0 Project Group (Director of RIS Project Group, Director of Industry-University Cooperation Foundation), said, “The demand-tailored talent development projects carried out at Dong-A University, such as LINC 3.0 and RIS, are now entering a new system called ‘RISE.’” He added, “We are currently preparing a project aimed at nurturing research-oriented talents necessary to support the advancement of the industry by jointly fostering, discovering, and hiring talents that reflect industry needs between universities and companies.”
Director Choi also stated, “The Industry-University Cooperation Foundation is expected to transform into an integrated industrial complex utilizing the strengths of each university through the Dong-A University-Dongseo University joint Glocal project.” He added, “The integrated industrial complex will evolve from an Industry-University Cooperation Foundation limited to administrative support tasks to a corporate-type industrial complex that proactively leads the connection between corporate needs and faculty.”
The Dong-A University LINC 3.0 Industry-University Cooperation Excellence Awards ceremony also followed.
In the Standard Field Training category, five organizations including ‘Renault Korea,’ ‘Wyndham Grand Busan,’ ‘Vision Management Technology Institute,’ ‘Data Edu,’ and ‘Dong-A Special Steel Wire’ received the President’s Award.
In the Industry-University Joint Technology Development Project category, Professor Kang Young-jo of the Department of New Materials Engineering (participating company NanoSeal), Professor Kim Seong-jae of the Department of Mechanical Engineering (participating company NES Co., Ltd.), and Professor Park Hye-ri of the Department of Electrical Engineering (participating companies S-Winners, GK Wood) were recognized. In the Shared Utilization Equipment category, ‘PK Valve & Engineering,’ ‘Taekwang Fujikin,’ ‘BMT,’ and ‘Yooyeon’ received awards. In the Technology Transfer category, ‘P&Tech,’ ‘Geomyeong ENC,’ ‘Hailey,’ and ‘Wave Lab’ were honored. In the Industry-University Cooperation category, ‘High Road,’ ‘Samsung Electro-Mechanics Busan Plant,’ ‘Abex Technic,’ ‘Suyeong District Office,’ and ‘Busan Facilities Corporation’ received the Industry-University Cooperation Foundation Director’s Award.
