Buk-gu, Gwangju to Promote Livelihood Economy and Support Small Businesses

Promotion of Four Major Policies Including the Issuance of Buk-gu Sarang Gift Certificate

Gwangju Buk-gu is launching measures to boost the local economy, which has been frozen, by revitalizing the livelihood economy and supporting small business owners.

Buk-gu announced on the 22nd that it will implement four key policies this year: issuing the Buk-gu Sarang Gift Certificate, establishing a Small Business New Growth Support Center, building an AI-based small business support system, and providing customized consulting and brand development support for alley-type shopping districts.

First, the Buk-gu Sarang Gift Certificate (tentative name) will be issued within the year. This aims to help increase sales for small business owners struggling due to the economic downturn and to revitalize local commercial districts.

In addition, a total of 1.25 billion KRW from national and local funds will be invested in the Small Business New Growth Support Center, which will be established in the first half of this year and will be equipped with a coworking space, media studio, and market manager office.

Furthermore, by developing an AI-based support system, the district will build an "online application portal" that allows one-stop submissions and applications, and will provide interactive AI chatbot services.
