Cheongsong-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, has started accepting applications for the 2025 Agricultural Product Packaging Material Support Project to promote direct transactions of local agricultural products.
The eligible items for this support project include packaging materials for agricultural specialties (agricultural specialties other than apples), packaging tape, apple zipper bags (2 types), and chili pepper packaging materials (boxes and vinyl).
Applications for Cheongsong Apple packaging materials (Nan-ja boxes and Mak boxes) were separately completed by the end of December last year for early supply, and they are scheduled to be supplied to farms starting in June this year.
Eligible applicants are agricultural management entities residing in Cheongsong-gun who package and ship agricultural products directly produced on farmland within the jurisdiction. They can receive 50% of the packaging material production and purchase costs supported by the county budget.
Farmers wishing to apply should visit their local eup/myeon office and submit the application form by February 28.
Governor Yoon Kyung-hee said, "Due to the domestic economic downturn, agricultural product consumption has been sluggish, causing difficulties for farmers. We hope this agricultural product packaging material support project will ease the financial burden on farms and help increase farm income through the expansion of direct transactions."
