Sharing Warmth with Elderly and Disabled Welfare Facilities
Yeongju City (Mayor Park Nam-seo) has been delivering warm-hearted consolation gifts to welfare facilities for the elderly and disabled for five days from the 20th to the 24th in celebration of the Lunar New Year.
This consolation effort targets a total of 32 local elderly and disabled welfare facilities and 1,111 individuals, providing essential daily necessities and rice, among other items needed for facility operations, to share warmth among neighbors and encourage attention to marginalized groups.
On the 22nd, Mayor Park Nam-seo personally visited six facilities, including Bohyeon Village, to extend warm holiday greetings to the residents and communicate with the staff, expressing encouragement and gratitude.
Mayor Park Nam-seo said, “I hope those living in the facilities have a warm and abundant holiday, and I sincerely thank all the workers who dedicate themselves to their efforts. We will do our best to create a happy local community for everyone.”
Yeongju City plans to continue its steady efforts to visit welfare facilities during holidays to share warmth and build a community full of sharing and consideration.
