Ulsan's Ulju-gun will accept nominations for the 2025 Ulju-gun Entrepreneur Award candidates from the 22nd of this month until the 21st of next month.
Ulju-gun annually awards the 'Ulju-gun Entrepreneur Award' to entrepreneurs or companies that have contributed to revitalizing the local economy, promoting regional harmony, and stabilizing labor-management relations, in order to encourage the management enthusiasm and morale of local entrepreneurs.
The Ulju-gun Entrepreneur Award is divided into two categories: the Regional Economy Award and the Industrial Peace Award.
The Regional Economy Award is given to entrepreneurs (or companies) who have contributed to revitalizing the local economy, creating jobs, and have outstanding achievements in new technology development and management improvement.
The Industrial Peace Award is presented to entrepreneurs (or companies) who have contributed to community harmony through social service activities and social return projects, promoted labor-management harmony, improved worker welfare, and advanced gender equality including equal employment of men and women and employment of persons with disabilities.
Candidates for the award can be recommended by the heads of Ulju-gun's eup and myeon offices, the head of the Ulsan Regional Headquarters of the Small and Medium Business Corporation, the director of the Ulsan Economic and Job Promotion Agency, as well as the chairman of the Ulju-gun Small and Medium Business Council and the chairman of the Regional Industrial Complex Council.
After review by the Corporate Support Committee, one final recipient per category will be selected, and the Entrepreneur Award will be presented at the Ulju-gun Citizens' Day commemorative event in April.
Award recipients will receive various honors, including priority participation in corporate support projects such as overseas market development delegations and overseas management technology training programs promoted by Ulju-gun.
