Revitalizing the Local Economy
and Supporting Vulnerable Groups

Wolseong Headquarters of Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP) held a shopping event at the traditional market in Munmu Daewang-myeon, Gyeongju City on the 20th to revitalize the local traditional market and support vulnerable groups in the area in celebration of the Lunar New Year.

On this day, Director Jeong Won-ho, about 60 employees from Wolseong Headquarters, and 9 mentors from the Einstein Class participated, purchasing goods worth approximately 7.5 million KRW, including dried seafood, fruits, and vegetables.


The items purchased during this shopping event were delivered to Yangbuk and Yangnam Regional Child Centers in East Gyeongju, Hye-gang Happy House (Angang-eup), a welfare facility for the disabled in Gyeongju, Gyeongju Aegawon (Gujeong-dong), a single-parent family welfare facility, and Chamsarang Home Care Senior Integrated Support Center (Seongdong-dong), a senior welfare facility.


Director Jeong Won-ho stated, “Wolseong Headquarters will continue to take the lead in fulfilling its social responsibilities and roles as a corporate citizen by revitalizing the local economy and supporting vulnerable groups.”


In addition to the traditional market shopping event, Wolseong Nuclear Power Headquarters is making efforts to revitalize the local economy through various means such as purchasing local specialties, projects to activate commercial districts in adjacent and coastal areas, and providing vouchers to residents in the East Gyeongju area.
