Gwangju Community Chest of Korea (Chairman Park Cheolhong, hereinafter referred to as Gwangju Sarangui Yeolmae) announced on the 21st that the Gwangju-Jeonnam Branch of the Innobiz Association (Chairman Kim Yongguhoe) has donated 5 million KRW to support the victims and bereaved families of the Jeju Air passenger plane accident.
The donation ceremony held on this day was attended by Park Cheolhong, Chairman of Gwangju Sarangui Yeolmae, Kim Yonggu, Chairman of the Gwangju-Jeonnam Branch of the Innobiz Association, Yang Inwook, Senior Vice Chairman of the Gwangju-Jeonnam Branch, Lee Yongbeom, Auditor of the Gwangju-Jeonnam Branch, and Choi Mujin, Vice Chairman of the Gwangju-Jeonnam Branch.
The association decided to make this donation by canceling the '2025 New Year's Greeting' event and using the funds originally intended for the event to fulfill its social responsibility and support the victims of the accident.
The donated funds will be used to support the bereaved families suffering from the passenger plane accident and for relief activities to aid in recovery from the damage.
Chairman Kim Yonggu said, "We deeply mourn those who lost their lives in this tragic accident and extend our heartfelt condolences to the grieving families," adding, "The association will continue to make various efforts to strengthen the social safety net."
Chairman Park Cheolhong said, "We will do our utmost to ensure that the donation is delivered well to the bereaved families who are suffering pain and sorrow due to this accident."
