Hoban Group Joins Climate Crisis Response with 100 Million Won Donation
Hoban Group announced on the 21st that it has signed a "Memorandum of Understanding for the Promotion of Donation Culture and Designation of Implementing Agencies" to create the Hongye Park Citizen Participation Forest in collaboration with Chungcheongnam-do and Seoul Green Trust. Attention is focused on whether this can serve as a model case for carbon neutrality and environmental improvement through cooperation among Chungnam residents, companies, and public interest organizations.

The signing ceremony held at the Chungnam Provincial Government Office was attended by about 20 officials, including Kim Tae-heum, Governor of Chungnam, Kim Seon-gyu, Chairman of Hoban Group, and Ji Young-seon, Chairperson of Seoul Green Trust. The Citizen Participation Forest is a project by Chungnam Province to create a dense forest in Hongye Park located in Naepo New City, contributing to the realization of carbon neutrality. According to the agreement, Hoban Group will contribute 100 million won to the Rural and Fishing Village Win-Win Cooperation Fund, and Seoul Green Trust will be designated as the implementing agency to promote the third phase of the Citizen Participation Forest project.
Kim Tae-heum, Governor of Chungnam, said, "I hope that with the participation and sincerity of the residents, Hongye Park will become a regional landmark," and added, "I hope the cooperation with Hoban Group and Seoul Green Trust will expand to various fields such as practicing carbon neutrality."
Kim Seon-gyu, Chairman of Hoban Group, said, "I am pleased to contribute to the creation of the Chungnam Citizen Participation Forest," and stated, "We will continue various efforts for sustainable development in harmony with the local community."
Ji Young-seon, Chairperson of Seoul Green Trust, said, "I am glad to play an important role in creating the Hongye Park Citizen Participation Forest," emphasizing, "Through cooperation, we will realize the public value of carbon neutrality and the spread of donation culture and create a sustainable urban environment."
