The purchased holiday food and items were delivered to social welfare facilities in the district.
Mayor Lee bought groceries and other items using local currency and Onnuri gift certificates, encouraging the merchants. He then visited 'The Kkum Regional Children's Center' to donate the groceries purchased at the market. The groceries bought that day were also delivered to the Good Dream Workshop for the Disabled.
In celebration of the Lunar New Year, Suwon City is conducting the 'Senior Officials Traditional Market Shopping' event. Kim Hyun-soo, the first deputy mayor, shopped at Maesan Market on the 22nd, and the purchased groceries are planned to be delivered to Jungang Nursing Home.
Hyun Geun-taek, the second deputy mayor, previously visited Motgol General Market on the 17th, and each department head plans to visit their sister markets to shop by the 24th.
