Yeoju City Holds New Year Dialogue with Citizens in Buknae-myeon

2025 Buknae-myeon New Year Dialogue with Citizens Held
Mayor Lee Chung-woo: "We will discuss valuable suggestions with relevant departments to find solutions"

Yeoju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Chung-woo) announced on the 21st that the "2025 Buknae-myeon New Year Dialogue with Citizens," aimed at explaining the direction of city administration and communicating with citizens for the new year 2025, was held at the Buknae-myeon Indoor Gymnasium on the 17th.

At the dialogue, Mayor Lee Chung-woo of Yeoju City, Lee Jun-gi, head of Buknae-myeon, Park Doo-hyung, chairman of Yeoju City Council, Seo Gwang-beom, provincial council member, Yeoju city council members, as well as heads of institutions and organizations in Buknae-myeon, village chiefs, and about 100 residents attended. They explained the 2025 city administration policies, progress on previously suggested matters, and major projects in Buknae-myeon, followed by a session for dialogue with citizens.


During this Buknae-myeon dialogue with citizens, various opinions were raised, including △ a proposal to pave the bike path along Geumdangcheon embankment △ a proposal to install a roundabout at Dangu Intersection △ a proposal to install a pedestrian road in Seokwoo 1-ri △ a proposal to amend livestock-related ordinances △ a proposal to add a senior citizens' center in new rural housing in Sinnam-ri △ a proposal to install a roundabout in Oeryong-ri △ and measures to adjust the rice cultivation area.


Mayor Lee Chung-woo of Yeoju City said, "I thank everyone who attended today, and the valuable suggestions made will be discussed with the relevant departments to find solutions."


Lee Jun-gi, head of Buknae-myeon, said, "We will actively reflect the opinions of the residents who made suggestions for Buknae-myeon and strive to make Buknae-myeon an even better place to live."
