This visit was conducted as part of ongoing efforts to enhance exchange and cooperation between Yeongyang County and Hoa Binh Province, Vietnam, aiming to promote mutual understanding and activate exchanges in various fields such as human and cultural tourism and agricultural productivity improvement.

The international exchange delegation, composed of both civilian and government members, contributed significantly to broadening cultural understanding between the two cities by opening the Yeongyang County (Governor Oh Do-chang) promotional booth and starting the Hoa Binh Province Lunar New Year Festival opening ceremony with a Won Noreum performance.

In particular, the Yeongyang County Council delegation visited agricultural machinery usage sites distributed through the Saemaul International Foundation and visited village community education centers to share the successful experiences of the Saemaul Movement, using the opportunity to promote the Saemaul spirit of diligence, self-help, and cooperation abroad.

Additionally, they personally visited the home of Mr. Vien Trung Thanh, who participated in seasonal labor from 2022 to 2024, delivering Korean food supplies to further solidify international friendly relations.

Kim Young-beom, chairman representing the Yeongyang County Council delegation, said, “We are very grateful to be invited to the international exchange with Hoa Binh Province,” and added, “We will continue to actively support the activation of exchanges to promote ongoing friendly relations.”
