Gyeonggi-do Visits Youth Welfare Facilities to Encourage Out-of-Home Youth

Gyeonggi Province visited youth welfare facilities in the province on the 20th to encourage 'out-of-home youth' who are preparing for independence away from their families ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday.

Gyeonggi Province sequentially visited the Gyeonggi Southern Youth Independence Support Center, Gunpo City Boys' Long-term Youth Shelter, and Sena Youth Recovery Support Facility to inspect youth welfare sites, check the living conditions and support needs of youth at each facility, and discuss future support directions.

These facilities support out-of-home youth with housing and daily living to help them become independent, and assist with independence education, academics, and employment.

Kang Hyun-seok, Director of the Future Lifelong Education Bureau of Gyeonggi Province, delivered a message of encouragement to out-of-home youth and youth welfare facility workers, saying, "Gyeonggi Province will do its best so that out-of-home youth do not lose their dreams and hopes and can walk the path of independence."

Gyeonggi Province is implementing various policies such as the Double Independence Savings Account project and independence settlement fund support to help out-of-home youth establish stable independence.
