Three Major Administrative Goals Presented for the New Year
Mayor Kim: "Focusing All Capabilities on Rapid Livelihood Stabilization and Urban Growth"

Gyeonggi-do Icheon City has presented ▲Recovery of the Livelihood Economy ▲Future-Oriented City ▲Enhancement of Everyday Happiness as its three major administrative goals for this year.


On the 20th, Icheon City announced that it set these goals at the 'New Year Major Priority Task Report Meeting' held in the city hall's main conference room, presided over by Mayor Kim Kyung-hee.

At the report meeting, each of the 45 departments presented priority goals in quantifiable figures, and discussions were held on plans for livelihood recovery, new projects, changing policies, various policies to enhance citizen happiness, as well as the promotion plans and development measures for major social overhead capital (SOC) projects.


According to the three major goals set that day, the city established five key tasks: ▲Livelihood welfare that adds hope and future education that adds dreams ▲Establishment of a solid economic foundation to lead the next 50 years ▲Creation of a smart safety city and improvement of inconveniences in roads, traffic, and parking ▲Development of an attractive city full of leisure and enjoyment 365 days a year ▲A happy rural area where people want to live and realization of sustainable advanced agriculture.


While preparing this year’s main budget of 1.3688 trillion won, which is 15.4% higher than the previous year, the city plans to increase the momentum of pledge projects and various pending projects as financial capacity has been expanded by securing 86.8 billion won in competitive national and provincial subsidies, the highest ever last year, and 10.8 billion won in special adjustment grants from Gyeonggi-do.


Mayor Kim emphasized, "Although we are starting amid difficulties due to heavy snow damage at the end of last year and various social disturbances, we will focus all our capabilities on the rapid stabilization of livelihoods and urban growth without being shaken by the current situation."
