Yangju City Launches Community Social Security Council... Expectations for Welfare Development

Chae Jeongseon Elected as Co-Chairman of the Representative Council

Gyeonggi Yangju City (Mayor Kang Su-hyun) announced on the 20th that it recently held the appointment ceremony for the 10th Yangju City Community Security Council Representative Council and Working Council members at the city hall situation room.

The newly launched 10th Yangju City Community Security Council members consist of a total of 59 people, including 26 representative council members and 33 working council members, who were finally selected after being recommended by representative organizations in each field.

The appointment ceremony was held in the order of the working council and the representative council. Chae Jeong-seon, who was the chairman of the 9th working council, was elected as the co-chairman of the representative council, and Park Mi-seon was elected as the chairman of the working council.

The appointed members will discuss various welfare issues in the region over the next two years and play a pivotal role in the development of local social welfare, including the establishment and evaluation of the community security plan.

Mayor Kang Su-hyun said at the appointment ceremony, “The active participation of the 9th Community Security Council achieved many results and elevated the status of the council,” and added, “I hope the newly launched 10th council will also actively work to promote citizen welfare.”
