This traditional market shopping event was organized to revitalize traditional markets, which have been facing many difficulties due to recent economic uncertainties and high prices, and to contribute to the recovery of the local economy through active interaction between local merchants and consumers.

During the Lunar New Year holiday, council members, including Chairman Jeon Jong-yul, personally visited traditional markets to purchase ritual items and communicated with merchants to share their challenges.

The council members emphasized that in order to increase sales and invigorate the local economy, it is essential to attract consumer interest in traditional markets and to actively support future activities that promote the regional economy.

Jeon Jong-yul, Chairman of the Cheongdo County Council, stated, “Traditional markets are not merely places for buying and selling goods but important cultural centers of our region. Through this event, we aim to enhance the brand value of traditional markets and ask for active participation and interest from county residents so that it becomes a vital driving force for the recovery of the local economy.”
