Chilgok-gun, Where Sharing Brings Happiness

The spirit of neighborly love in Chilgok-gun, Gyeongbuk, is heating up, making the severe midwinter cold seem insignificant.

On the 20th, Chilgok-gun announced that the 'Hope 2025 Sharing Campaign' thermometer reached 117 degrees (530 million won). Despite the challenging domestic and international circumstances, the residents, philanthropists, and local businesses united as one to exceed the target amount.

Thanks to the generous contributions of the residents, the target amount was achieved ahead of schedule despite the difficult economic conditions. The total amount raised so far is 530 million won, surpassing the goal of 450 million won. The collected donations will be used to support neighbors in need and social welfare facilities within the region.

Kim Jae-uk, the mayor of Chilgok-gun, said, “I am grateful to the residents who willingly donated to help neighbors in greater need despite the tough economy,” and added, “I hope everyone will continue to participate in spreading the culture of sharing until the end of the campaign, and we will work to make Chilgok-gun an even better place to live.”
