The price of Bitcoin reached an all-time high ahead of the official inauguration of Donald Trump as the 47th President on the 20th (local time).
According to the global virtual asset market tracking site CoinMarketCap, as of 4:28 PM on the 20th (Korean time), Bitcoin is trading at $108,775.39, up 3.48% from the previous session.
On this day, Bitcoin surged to an intraday high of $109,114.88, setting a new record high.
The price of Bitcoin has been on an upward trend, rising steadily from the $93,000 range a week ago on the 14th.
President-elect Trump will re-enter the White House starting with the inauguration ceremony held in Washington DC at noon on the 20th (2 AM on the 21st Korean time). This marks the beginning of Trump's second term at the White House after four years.
