Aims to lead the domestic market with Chinese short-form content
Plans to introduce AI-powered short-form animations within the first half of the year

On the 20th, Nayoungjun, CEO of Shortplex, said this at the 'LeapStart' Demo Day held by startup accelerator Next Elevation and CNT Tech at the S1 TIPS Hall in Tipstown, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.

As the second presenter among six participating startups that day, CEO Na explained, "Short-form dramas are growing over 300% annually," adding, "Shortplex is a comprehensive short-form content platform where users can watch entertaining videos, interact with others, and compete."
Shortplex's primary focus is to stably introduce the Chinese content driving the short-form drama craze to the domestic market. As of 2023, the Chinese short-form drama market size is 6.7 trillion KRW, with the number of viewers exceeding 1 billion.
Based on this, the goal for this year is to showcase various short-form content and establish itself as a comprehensive short-form content platform by the first quarter. CEO Na said, "We are not only challenging dramas but also variety shows, and attempts are being made to incorporate AI technology into short-form drama production."
Short-form content through AI is expected to materialize first in animation. CEO Na stated, "We will unveil our first short-form animation within the first half of this year."
He added, "Shortplex aims to become a short-form version of Netflix plus TikTok," and "It will be a platform that people open first when they are bored at home."
