Clip Creators Day Event Held
Expansion of Advertising Incentives and Brand Partnerships
Support for High-Quality Video Production... Utilization of AI Technology
NAVER's short video 'Clip' content production, typically around one minute long, has increased more than fivefold compared to a year ago, and the average monthly playback count has grown tenfold.
NAVER plans to officially launch an advertising incentive program for Clip creators within the year and will also provide a studio that implements virtual backgrounds.
On the 19th, NAVER held the 'Clip Creators Day' for Clip creators at the NAVER 1784 building located in Pangyo, Gyeonggi Province. In its second edition, the event provided an opportunity for various creators to share their activity experiences and discuss support measures and service directions with the Clip team.
Lee Il-gu, head of NAVER's Content Service Division, said, "Thanks to creators' content, NAVER is evolving into a more enjoyable and meaningful platform," adding, "We will continue to support your challenges and growth together."
NAVER has expanded the service scope of Clips, advanced personalized recommendation technology, and connected with more users. As a result, as of December last year, Clip content production increased more than fivefold compared to the previous year, and the average monthly Clip playback count grew tenfold.
This year, NAVER plans to strengthen support programs so that Clip creators can continue their creative activities in a stable environment.
Within the year, NAVER will officially launch the 'Advertising Incentive Program' and expand partnership opportunities through 'Brand Connect.' Additionally, an affiliate model will be introduced to enable partnerships between Clip creators and Smart Store sellers, providing a solid growth foundation for creators. Partnerships will also be expanded with broadcasting content and offline events to encourage creators to take on more diverse and new content production challenges.
Furthermore, support will be provided to produce high-quality Clip videos. On this day, NAVER introduced 'Vision Stage,' which uses virtual production technology to realistically implement virtual backgrounds as if they were actual locations. Clip creators will be supported to produce desired content without spatial constraints by utilizing the Vision Stage at the NAVER headquarters.
Additionally, various convenience features will be added within the year, including an AI highlight function that automatically edits highlight videos by extracting key scenes from multiple videos, and a co-creation feature that allows creators to produce Clips together. NAVER plans to expand Clip exposure channels and enhance personalized recommendation technology so that more NAVER users can enjoy Clip content.
Kim Ah-young, NAVER Clip leader, stated, "We will strengthen support programs encompassing revenue generation and education to continue growing with Clips," adding, "We also plan to enhance technical measures, including Clean Bot, to provide a healthier content environment for both creators and users."
