Production of a Casebook on the Use of Educational Information Technology Tools
Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Cheon Chang-su) announced on the 20th that it will produce and distribute the "2024 Teacher Educational Information Technology (Edutech) Tool Utilization Teaching Casebook" to assist teachers in digital-based classes.
Last year, Ulsan Office of Education operated the "Teacher Educational Information Technology Tool Utilization Class" project to cultivate teachers with digital-based teaching capabilities and support future-oriented educational activities where students can demonstrate autonomy.
Through this project, purchase costs for educational information technology tools were supported for 290 teachers from elementary, middle, high, special, and various schools. Utilizing these tools, teachers developed lesson plans and shared teaching cases through class sharing with teachers at their respective schools.
Ulsan Office of Education selects outstanding cases from the shared teaching cases and produces and distributes the "Teacher Educational Information Technology Utilization Teaching Casebook" as an e-book.
The casebook is produced in two versions: one for elementary and one for secondary education. It aims for balanced application of educational information technology in classes, containing learner-customized lessons (High-Touch High-Tech) that harmoniously combine teachers' meticulous guidance and the application of advanced technology.
High-Touch High-Tech is learner-customized education that combines teachers' learning design ability and socio-emotional leadership role (High-Touch) with the latest information technologies such as artificial intelligence and metaverse (High-Tech) in education. The casebook is scheduled to be released on Uldirit in January.
An official from Ulsan Office of Education said, "We expect that this casebook will help teachers appropriately utilize educational information technology tools in school field educational activities and contribute to the realization of future-oriented classes."
