Yangju Mayor Kang Su-hyun Visits Elderly Job Safety and Activity Training Site

Wishing for the Health and Happiness of Seniors

Yangju Mayor Kang Su-hyun recently visited the site of the ‘2025 Senior Job Safety and Activity Training’ hosted by the Korea Senior Citizens Association Yangju Branch (President Lee Chae-yong) held at the ‘Gyeonggi Textile Comprehensive Support Center Auditorium’ to wish for the health and happiness of the elderly participants.

According to Yangju City on the 20th, a total of about 350 people attended the event held on the 17th, including Mayor Kang Su-hyun, City Council Chairman Yoon Chang-chul, city council members, and senior job participants.

On that day, safety education was conducted to help senior job workers participate safely in their jobs by preventing various accidents that could occur during activities.

President Lee Chae-yong of the branch said, “I deeply appreciate the passion of the seniors who participated in the training despite the ongoing cold wave,” and added, “Please be especially careful of safety accidents caused by weather, such as slip accidents during job activities.”

Mayor Kang Su-hyun of Yangju said, “I sincerely thank the officials of the Korea Senior Citizens Association Yangju Branch who are working hard for the safety and happy employment of the elderly,” and stated, “Yangju City will also do its best to discover various senior job projects so that the elderly can spend a healthy and vibrant old age.”

Meanwhile, the Korea Senior Citizens Association Yangju Branch operates a total of seven project teams this year, including four senior public service activity teams (Senior Center Helpers, Facility Guardians, Silver Caregivers, Rainbow Volunteer Group) and three senior capacity utilization teams (Nutrition Meal Team, Public Facility Team, Informer Team).
